Shane Loves Tractors! Part I

Shutterfly Pictures

Okay, I am about to pull my hair out. So far Wiley has been the one to download pictures to our Shutterfly site. Well, since I'm not on facebook anymore, I thought I'd take a stab at downloading some pics to Shutterfly. The album that I downloaded took over 2 days to download and then it just stopped downloading. So there are still a bunch of pictures that are not on there. That scream was for the 3 times I tried to download a one minute video of Shane onto Blogger. For some unknown reason, after about 20 minutes of trying to load the video, a sign would come onto the screen saying, "Unable to load video." I guess I'll have to try You Tube. Be patient because I don't have the patience to do that right now!

BOOK!

I cleaned (really cleaned) Shane's room this week. For some time we have been throwing extra stuff that we don't have a place for on Shane's top bunk. I always mean to get to it, but other things come first. His room was also full of boxes. I have slowly been going through his closet and cleaning out clothes and items that he has outgrown. So this week I made his room a priority. So now Shane loves spending time in his room! He has been reading lots of books in his bed and even in his crib!


This is not what you think! This is NOT a date! What's a date anyway? Not so sure myself anymore! Anyways, we were up near Lake Hefner last night and decided to stop and take a stroll. It was the first night in a long time that it was not too hot to hang out outside. Shane was there also, but it was too much effort to get a self-shot picture of all 3 of us! Shane really enjoyed being outside. He has been cooped up for much too long. He laughed, waved at people and puppies, and talked and talked and talked! It was also really nice to spend some time with Wiley. He has been working so much that we rarely get to see him!

15 Months Old!

Shane had his 15 month check-up on Thursday. Here are his stats:

We shared our lunch with the peacocks, along with some geese, squirrels, and birds. The peacocks came right up to us.

6/22/10- Loving the splash pad in Chickasha! Went with Nannie Diane. This is the only picture I got before my battery died. Doesn't he look so grown up?!
We have been looking for dining room chairs for over a year now. I found 4 chairs for $20, at a garage sale on Sat! They match perfectly. Now Shane won't be able to climb on the folding chairs and collapse them!
It looks like a real dining area now!

First Steps!!!

The long awaited first steps have arrived! BUT...Wiley was at work, and I was too busy talking to notice! Luckily there were others there to witness the event yesterday at Gymboree!! This first picture was taken second after his first steps. He was standing and touching a poster on the wall. He turned and saw this toy and walked right to it! I don't think he even realized what he did!

This next picture was taken today at Gymboree. Shane was fake crying. He was upset because we had to put the maracas away! He is wearing the overalls that Aunt Lea Anne got him almost a year ago!

Words

I thought I'd be totally original and add a word wall to our profile. =) He also say, "badabadaba" a lot, but that's not a word. The newest thing lately is that Shane will yell out something like "DAD," or "BAA" and then I will yell it back. We will say it back and forth over and over again and sometimes together. It is lots of fun!

I've been trying to teach Shane some sign language. We've been working on "more" for the past couple weeks without any success. I think he knows what it means, but he just smiles at me when I do the sign. Well, today, I was feeding him and saying and signing "more" a bunch of times. All of the sudden he just starts saying, "more" over and over again. I guess he doesn't need to sign!

Shane has to take lots of showers now that he has figured out how to lift the toilet lid and play in the water.

I took this video back in December, but it is a must see. Grandma Gabehart is reading Shane his favorite book. He wants me to read this book over and over again to him. He loves it.

I'm not sure what he is trying to communicate here, but it makes me laugh every time.

Shane is 9 months old!! Today he had his 9 month Dr's appointment. Here are the current stats:

Crawling Footage

Shaney has been crawling since about 51/2 months. We finally got some footage for ya! He loves the ball in this video. As soon as he catches it, it gets away from him and he has to crawl to get it. It keeps him entertained!

DADADA!!!!!

Okay, I know, I should have turned on the light! He was looking right at the camera in the 2nd video. I tried to figure out how I could edit the video to be brighter, but I couldn't figure it out. This is the first day that he said "da da." And believe me, he said it from sun up to sun down!!

Chip off the ol' block...

This is pretty much a daily occurrence. We have so much talking footage that it's hard to pick which to download to the blog. The kid can't even stop long enough to eat. He doesn't talk too much when other people are around...but when it's just me and Wiley...well let's just say that Wiley can't even get a word in!

He did this for about 10 minutes. He'd probably still be doing it if I hadn't taken him out!
